Big Sean spoke with his hometown Detroit station 97.1 The Ticket earlier today to announce that fans can expect a new song featuring fellow Motor City rapper and hip-hop legend Eminem. "Yes, you can expect a little something-something sooner or later," he said when asked if the two Detroit rappers would ever collaborate.
Sean spent some time in the recording studio with Em last summer.
He's a true OG, man, I don't know if there's any misconceptions about him but that dude is real polite, real nice," he told Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club" last year.
Slim Shady checked out his then-unreleased album Hall of Fame and was reportedly "impressed."
"That was just an honor," he told them of Em's stamp of approval. "Coming from the D ... that was the person that showed us that it was real, that showed us you could be the biggest in the world from where we from."
In his interview with 97.1, he also said that his new full-length album will be coming out either later this year or early 2015. It's unclear whether the Eminem collaboration will make it on the album.
In other Big Sean news, it was recently confirmed that he and breakout pop star Ariana Grande are dating.
