Brantley Gilbert Says Music Comes Before Acting, But He Still 'Might Give it a Shot'

Brantley Gilbert played himself on an episode of Nashville two years ago, but he does not see himself as much of an actor. "I wouldn't wanna do it and then have people confused about what my true passion was, or what my true priority was, and that'll always be music," he told Taste of Country. "But you know, if the right part came across the table and it was somethin' that I could play and kinda do me in, I might give it a shot."

Coming off May's Just as I Am, Gilbert is touring in support of the new album.

"My priorities right now are set on music, it's where my heart's at," he said. "But if a role came across that I really felt like might be fun to play, or might be somethin' fun to try, I [am] open to try about anything."

Gilbert will be playing next year's Country to Country Festival — headlined by Luke Bryan and Lady Antebellum — and our own Kim Jones recently provided the latest info on Country Jam 2015, which Brantley will play next year.

Country Jam 2015, which will be held in Grand Junction, Colorado, from June 18 to 21, has announced that two of the headliners will be Tim McGraw and The Band Perry. With tickets going on sale Oct. 22, chances are good that more artists will be named soon.

Camping passes will also go on sale Oct. 22 and they will start at $125 and go up to $375. A $25 camping access pass will be required for each camper — sold separately — and, if you do not want to share bathroom space, you can rent your own personal Port-a-Potty for your campsite for $150.
