Keyshia Cole reportedly attacked a woman at Birdman's condo last month and in the latest update of the ordeal, TMZ says the Point of No Return singer has escaped prosecution after her alleged assault victim was granted a restraining order.
As reported by the entertainment news outlet, a source in the City Attorney Office confirmed that the singer will sit in on an informal office hearing as opposed to being prosecuted.
Both Cole and the assault victim, Sabrina Mercadel, will get the opportunity to tell their sides of the story on their scheduled hearing date, The singer will reportedly be given a warning. A judge will later decide on whether she should undergo anger management therapy.
Mercadel, a Cash Money employee, was granted a restraining order against Cole, who allegedly punched her in the face and threw objects at her during the incident.
The longtime label employee was reportedly walking out of the bathroom when Cole spotted her in the apartment and went on the attack, yelling, "What are you doing with my man?"
She was taken to the ER and given pain meds while Cole was arrested. The "I Should've Cheated" singer was later released on $46,000 bail.
Neither Cole nor Birdman have spoken publicly about the incident.
Keyshia Cole is married to NBA star Daniel Gibson. The two have been married since 2011 and share a child, Daniel Jr. The couple has reportedly been separated since March following allegations of infidelity on Gibson's end.
