Arcade Fire Will Air 30-Minute Concert Special After SNL Premiere for New Album 'Reflektor'

Saturday Sept. 28 is officially Arcade Fire night. The Montreal band is slated as the musical guest for the season premiere of Saturday Night Live. And incase that wasn't enough, Consequence of Sound has confirmed that NBC will air a 30-minute Arcade Fire concert special on following the SNL episode, hosted by Tina Fey. More details on the special are still to come.

The hype is growing around the band's upcoming double album, "Reflektor," which is the follow-up to 2010's Grammy Award-winning album, The Suburbs. It is scheduled for an Oct. 29 release through Merge Records.

Last week, the band released two music videos for the album's title track. The first video was an interactive short film, directed by Vincent Morisset, in which the viewer could use his or her mouse, tablet or Smartphone to control the effects in the video. The second video was directed by Anton Corbijn and featured a brigade of bobble heads, a disco-ball man and other trippy elements.

As you await Arcade Fire's upcoming TV appearances, check out the two videos for "Reflektor" here. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
