Dizzy Reed Says New Guns N' Roses Music Is 'Being Finished'

Longtime keyboardist for Guns N' Roses, Dizzy Reed has revealed to VH1 Radio (via Blabbermouth), that he believes the new Guns N' Roses album will be out "really soon." Reed said, "There's a lot of material that's already done and I think it's in the process of being finished and eventually we'll pick out which songs need to come out with which other songs. So that's in the works. Hopefully it will be out really soon." This potential upcoming album would be their first since the 2008 artist album Chinese Democracy, which ended a 17-year drought for the band in between album releases.

Reed, Axl Rose and DJ Ashba have hinted in the past at previous material being recorded (but never released) at around the time when Chinese Democracy was recorded, including a potential remix album. In an interview with Legendary Rock Interviews, the guitarist for Guns N' Roses, DJ Ashba revealed that touring and more studio time were in the cards for the band. He told the website, "We are planning on doing quite a bit of touring this coming year. The focus is getting in a studio and putting together what we all feel is the best Guns N' Roses record. Lack of material is not an issue. We have tons of stuff. Axl has two full albums that he has recorded, he has played me a bunch of songs off of that, are incredible!"

Recently, Rose revealed more details about what is come, "We recorded a lot of things before Chinese was out," Rose said. "We've worked more on some of those things and we've written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call the second half of Chinese. That's already recorded. And then we have a remix album made of the songs from Chinese. That's been done for a while, too."

The anticipation is at a fever pitch for new Guns N' Roses material with all of the statements saying that the album is nearly ready to go. It has been 6 years since Chinese Democracy and Guns N' Roses fans are hoping that all the talk is for real and they won't have to wait close to two decades for another album.
