The 2014 Country Music Association Awards (better known as the CMAs) may not kick off for another few hours, but there are already three big winners announced. This morning (Nov. 5), the trophies for Musical Event of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year were announced on Good Morning America.
According to Rolling Stone Country, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley walked away with CMA Awards before the show even begins later tonight.
Urban and Lambert's collaborative single "We Were Us" won the trophy for Musical Event of the Year. The modern country stars beat out some of the best in the game, including Faith Hill and Tim McGraw's "Meanwhile Back at Mama's," Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton's "You Can't Make Old Friends." Lambert even beat herself - her collaboration with Carrie Underwood "Something Bad" was also nominated.
"We Were Us" wasn't the only early winner. Bentley took home the award for Music Video of the Year for his lead RISER single "Drunk on a Plane."
The comic music video features Bentley looking on bemused while everyone on his aircraft get hammered, including the pilots.
