Blake Shelton, Ashley Monroe Get Contemplative in "Lonely Tonight" Music Video [WATCH]

Blake Shelton: 2014 CMAs

Telling the story of two broken hearts who want to reconnect for just one night before the sun comes up, Shelton and Monroe each play the part of a lover gone sad in both the track and the music video.

"I could be there in five / One more one last time / We don't have to be lonely tonight / Need you, want you, I'm right here," the duo croon in the poignant chorus. "I know we shouldn't but I don't care."

The relatable and heartbreaking song gets a fitting music video, which features a contemplative Monroe and upset Shelton singing largely in separate settings.

He's singing atop a hilltop and she's in a fancy car, all while they sing about loneliness before meeting up in a lush Las Vegas hotel, to finally take away the loneliness.

"Lonely Tonight" is the second single from Shelton's ninth studio album, Bringing Back the Sunshine, which was released in September. Bringing Back the Sunshine was previously led by "Neon Light."
