Diplo's Mad Decent Boat Party just returned to harbor, and now fans and revelers are able to get back to the comfort of their homes and Internet connections and upload the videos to the World Wide Web for everyone to see. A video of note that has picked up traction is one featuring Sonny Moore, known to most as Skrillex, playing Celine Dion's famed and Grammy-award-winning song "My Heart Will Go On" on a piano before his back-to-back-to-back set with Flosstradamus and DJ Snake via Dancing Astronaut.
Skrillex was a part of the post-hardcore band From First to Last in his youth before he found electronic music and began his rise to dominate it. He was the lead singer in the band, but he is also a skilled guitarist, something we see in his recent "Let's Build a Spaceship" documentary with Red Bull.
The choice of tracks is somewhat ironic, since it was one of the iconic tracks from Titanic, and thankfully the boat party made it back in one piece or it would have been tragic for Skrillex to foreshadow anything with a joke like "My Heart Will Go On."
It is always good to see the producer showing of his albilities on the piano, even if he is playing Celine Dion late at night. Just kidding — we always like to see Skrillex get in touch with his softer side with some Dion.
Skrillex and host of the party Diplo, even when miles out to sea and not in touch with the real world, still manage to make waves with news about their music. According to DJ SKEE, they produced a song for Justin Bieber that is set to come out on his upcoming album.
Diplo recently made the news not only for the Mad Decent Boat Party, but also because his second son with his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Lockhart was born over the weekend. His son has a Major Lazer name in Lazer Lee Louis Pentz.
