All hail Queen Bey. Last week, the official nominees for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards were announced, and with the proclamation that Beyoncé was nominated for six awards this year, the "7/11" singer has now become the most-nominated woman in Grammy history, eclipsing Dolly Parton in the process.
According to Forbes, between Beyoncé's work as a solo artist and with her 2000s girl group Destiny's Child, she has been nominated an astounding 52 times.
For the 57th Annual Grammys, Beyoncé is nominated six times. Though she was snubbed in the Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories, she is up for Album of the Year for Beyoncé. Additionally, Beyoncé is nominated for: Best R&B Performance ("Drunk in Love"), Best R&B Song ("Drunk in Love"), Best Urban Contemporary Album (Beyoncé), Best Surround Sound Album (Beyoncé) and Best Music Film (Beyoncé & Jay Z: On The Run).
These nominations helped Beyoncé to surpass Parton as the most-nominated woman in the award show's history. The two were previously tied with 46 nominations apiece.
Despite being the most-nominated female of all time, Beyoncé is still a bit behind in the total nod ranks. She is surpassed by Quincy Jones (79 nominations), Georg Solti, Jay Z, John Williams, Chick Correa and Kanye West.
Beyoncé is also only the third most-winning woman of all time. In total, Beyoncé has won (only) 17 Grammys. Most recently, she took home a Grammy in 2013 for Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Love on Top."
The 57th Annual Grammy Awards - where Beyoncé is expected to take home at least one golden gramophone - will take place on Feb. 8, 2015, on CBS.
