Queens of the Stone Age stopped by on Conan to play a "The Vampyre of Time and Memory" just in time for Halloween. Sitting at a blood-red piano, dressed in a suit and tie, frontman Josh Homme sang the haunting rock ballad. The stage was dark and gloomy, setting the tone of the chilling song.
"The Vampyre of Time and Memory" comes off the band's recent ...Like Clockwork, which came out back in June. It was Homme's first post-surgery composition after he briefly "died" on the operating table.
The band promised a "ghoulish" interactive video for the track, but unfortunately it has not yet been released. According to the band's website, it's "Coming Soon." Today would be great timing though, seeing as it's Halloween and all. We will keep you updated when the time comes.
