British boy band superstars One Direction are gearing up for the TV special airing Tuesday, Dec. 23 on NBC at 8 p.m. and have released another teaser to get Directioners excited about the show. Fittingly titled One Direction: The Special, the TV spot will give fans a behind-the-scenes look into 1D on the road, in the studio and on stage, giving fans a more intimate look at the characters and personalities of their favorite artists. The band posted a clip of them playing the ballad "Little Things" from their 2012 studio album Take Me Home at Orlando's Universal Resort on their Youtube channel as a special teaser to the show (via Billboard).
The film director for the special, Ben Winston posted the same clip on his Twitter page, but included the information that "isn't on the show but gives a taster."
The band is in the midst of a total NBC takeover. They performed on Saturday Night Live this past Saturday, Dec. 20, playing two songs "Night Changes" and "Ready To Run" from their recent, record-breaking album Four. On Tuesday, following the special at 8 p.m., One Direction will be guests on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside Big Sean.
1D have been doing a slew of media performances in support of their album Four to close out 2014, before heading out on the road again to start potentially their most ambitious tour yet in 2015 that will take them all across the world and last almost the entirety of the year.
