(RED) compilation album features Empire of the Sun, Tommy Trash, Calvin Harris, Tiësto and more

Empire of the Sun, Tommy Trash, Calvin Harris, Tiësto, Katy Perry, and Avicii are among the artists who will feature new, exclusive remixes for (RED), and organization that raises money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Billboard reports.

According to the article, the "Dance (RED) Save Live 2" compilation album is due out Nov. 25 on iTunes via Capitol Music Group's Priority Records and Recreation Worldwide, available for pre-order now.

Last week, Empire of the Sun & Tommy Trash released the album's first single, "Celebrate (Trashed Mix)" in a partnership with Coca-Cola and Vice Media's EDM vertical, Thump. The article mentions that a 24-hour kick off party will take place Nov. 30, the day before World AIDS day, in Sydney, Australia at the Stereosonic Festival and will be streamed on Thump's YouTube channel. Acts will include David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Sebastian Ingrosso, Empire of the Sun, Armin van Buuren, Axwell, Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Krewella, Tommy Trash and more. There will also be events held around the world in major cities.

"Dance (RED) Save Lives" follows up last year's inaugural compilation and global dance event. According to the article, Empire of the Sun's Nick Littlemore has raised more than $215 million since 2006 to fight aids in Africa. "It doesn't feel like it did for me when I first herd about the disease in Australia - you'd see these Grim Reaper ads at the time," he told Billboard. "It feels to me like the work being done now is reversing that image. I'm glad our song can help spread that message of hope."

Other corporate sponsors for the foundation include Starbucks, Belvedere and Shazam. "There's something incredibly beautiful about all these artists coming together," (RED) CEO Deborah Dugan told Billboard, "and Coke Belvedere, Shazam, Starbucks - they're all spreading a nice message of, 'Just dance with us and you can change the world.' We've spent a year thinking about how to create a moment that will capture people's attention and make then really active."
