Big Sean and Kid Rock, two proud Detroit natives, were separated by about 30,000 equivalent records on the Billboard 200 this week with 'Dark Sky Paradise' and 'First Kiss,' respectively, but things were a lot tighter when only album sales were taken into consideration. The pair was almost exactly 1,000 apart from each other, with Sean passing Rock in the last day of sales tracking. 'Dark Sky' ended up selling 135,500 copies while 'First Kiss' debuted with 134,500. -

Kanye West, Bono, Chris Martin, Carrie Underwood and Bruce Springsteen all played a concert for (RED) in Times Square last night to help raise awareness for the fight against AIDS.Ryan Lewis — the producer, dosc jockey and co-songwriter for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis — shared his mother's story dealing with the illness and what he has done since then in launching the 30/30 project. Ryan Lewis took to Instagram to outline the goal of the project and detail his mother's successful fight with the disease, via MTV: -

However, as part of Avicii's partnership with World AIDS organization (RED), who's goal is to deliver the first AIDS free generation in thirty years, and Coca Cola, one of the corporate sponsors for the campaign, Avicii has released the final product of a previously reported collaboration with Wyclef Jean, "Divine Sorrow". -

With World AIDS Day right around the corner on Dec. 1, (RED) is ramping up its public awareness campaign for the day and is using deadmau5 to target the younger demographic. In partnering with Coca-Cola, (RED) and deadmau5 will be offering the prize of a lifetime for one lucky fan to hang out with deadmau5 and have a custom mau5head made for them, according to Dancing Astronaut.This is not the first time deadmau5 has worked with (RED). He contributed the "dance (RED) saves lives" album in 2013 with his hit single "The Veldt." As part of that soft interior, he has also worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation recently to take a kid out to dinner and bring him on stage during a performance. -
