Taylor Swift covers Eminem 'Lose Yourself' for Pittsburgh radio station, compare new version to '8 Mile' original [LISTEN]

Taylor Swift is down with the 8 Mile. Or, so it seems. In a recent visit to the Pittsburgh radio station Froggy this week, the "Everything Has Changed" singer did a country-twinged rap cover of Eminem's classic 2002 track "Lose Yourself," and it's just as bizarre, adorable and kind of awesome as one would expect.

Starting out with a shout out to radio host Danger Frog, Swift then does her best Slim Shady impression with some talk-rapping. She sure can project, and does so as she nearly yells the angry, pumped up lyrics to the track, all while being backed by the simple strum of an acoustic guitar.

When it comes time for the chorus returns to her familiar territory, singing the refrain with a bit of a country edge. The cover is cut short there. While a full version of "Lose Yourself" would be awesome, it's not quite the time. Perhaps she'll bring the track back at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show?

Listen to Swift's cover of "Lose Yourself" by Eminem below, and compare it to the original from the movie 8 Mile.

When she's not busy covering one of the biggest rappers in the game, Swift is steadily preparing to perform at the 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Yesterday (Nov. 12), it was announced that she will perform at the annual holiday event, alongside Fall Out Boy, Neon Jungle and A Great Big World. The fashion show will air on Dec. 10 on CBS.
