The new year is getting off to an incredibly happy start for two of pop-punk's biggest players. After years of dating, yesterday (Dec. 31), Paramore's Hayley Williams announced that she and New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert will be getting married.
Williams shared the news of her recent engagement on her Twitter account. After teasing fans with the message of "Hey, guess what?" she posted a photoshopped image of her face and Gilbert's face superimposed on an old-school wedding shot.
The punkiness comes in the text, with bold purple and lime green font declaring "GETTING MARRIED!"

According to Gilbert's Instagram - where he also shared the Photoshopped picture - he popped the big question to Williams on Christmas Day, and she clearly said "Yes!"

No word on what the ring looks like or when Williams and Gilbert will be tying the knot, but since making the big announcement on New Year's Eve, Williams Twitter timeline has been a slew of excitement and even a throwback picture from when the couple first started dating.
