Foo Fighters Announce The Forum Show for Charity, Dave Grohl's Birthday on Saturday

It seems like those Sonic Highways club tour dates weren't the only surprise weekend shows the Foo Fighters has in store for its new album promotion. The band also has a major arena date scheduled - for this Saturday. Last night (Jan. 7), the "Something From Nothing" band announced and began selling tickets for a Jan. 10 show at the revived Inglewood The Forum to celebrate frontman Dave Grohl's 46th birthday and benefit a few charities along the way.

Foo Fighters will take on The Forum this weekend to benefit a variety of charities, Radio.com reports. The special set will help to benefit MusiCares, the Rock School Scholarship Fund and Sweet Relief.

Tickets, which went on sale at 7 p.m. PST last night, run for $50 and $10 from each pass sold will go toward the charities. Seats for the show are still available, as of press time.

Fans lucky enough to make the trek to Inglewood this Saturday should prepare themselves for quite the show - Foo Fighters teased that the shows on its Sonic Highways Tour will exceed three hours, which is understandable for a band with 20 years under its belt.

The Forum show comes ahead of Foo Fighters' upcoming 2015 North American tour. Beginning July 4, the band will crisscross the United States and Canada in support of its eighth studio album.
