London's Burial (born William Bevan), considered to be one of the world's best electronic producers, has announced the release of a new EP.
According to NPR, not many details have been released on the EP other than that it will contain three tracks lasting 28 minutes total. As the article notes, this is the second year in a row that Burial has dropped an EP in December; last year's release was the Truant / Rough Sleeper 12", which came out Dec. 17, 2012.
Burial took off in 2006, rising to underground fame in 2006 after releasing his self-titled LP and its follow up Untrue a year later. The lead single off Untrue, "Archangel" was his breakthrough hit. As NPR points out, despite his fame, the enigmatic producer still stays out of the spotlight. He remained anonymous until 2008.
The yet-unnamed EP is due out on December 16 via Hyperdub Records. We will update as more information about the release becomes available. Check out his hit song "Archangel" here, and let us know what you think in the comments below.
