The enigmatic electronic producer Burial does not perform live or appear in public, and he worked anonymously until 2008 when he was revealed to be London native William Bevan. Back in January, he confirmed his identity after releasing his latest EP, Rival Dealer. Despite his confirmed identity, not much is known about William Bevan. Giving us a glimpse inside the person behind the music, Ellie Goudling spoke with Billboard and called Bevan an "all-time hero" of hers. -
British producer Burial confirms his true identity
Enigmatic British producer, Burial, has officially revealed his identity through a post on his label Hyperdub's website. It shows an image of William Emmanuel Bevan, who had been attributed as the man behind Burial but never confirmed, which sparked conspiracy theories on the producer's true identity. Bevan also included a note with the photo and promised his supporters new music in 2014 to follow up December's Rival Dealer EP. -
Burial releases new EP, 'Rival Dealer' [STREAM]
London's Burial (born William Bevan), considered to be one of the world's best electronic producers, has delivered on his announcement to release a new EP by the end of 2013. The new effort, called, Rival Dealer, consists of three tracks that span 28 minutes. In anticipation for its official December 16 release via Hyperdub, the three songs are streaming in full now. -
