The controversy surrounding Iggy Azalea's, well, everything just won't seem to die down - but the "Beg For It" rapper is continuing to stand up for herself and for her persona. After Eve spoke with Sway Callaway, saying that," I just wish there was a little bit more of where [Azalea] came from ... it would be dope to hear her with her swag. What are you, who are you and what is that?," Azalea fired back on Twitter, saying that's she's only ever been real.
Unlike her feud with Azealia Banks, Azalea didn't name Eve specifically in her messages, but her tweets yesterday (Jan. 28) made her target pretty clear.
"There's a difference between being yourself and being your stereotype. When people I've never met say I should act more like 'myself' I feel like they're really saying "act more like how I sterotype [sic] you to be, so I can feel comfortable. I'm myself as strange as I may be, daily. I think it's really important we all feel free to explore or feel passionate about whatever u wish," she wrote before turning Eve's comments into a positive message for her fans.
Of course, Eve isn't the first time Azalea has been attacked in recent months nor is it the first time she's responded to her detractors. Azalea has a long-running feud with Azaelia Banks, which has spawned everyone from Lupe Fiasco to Q-Tip and Solange to offer their opinion on the pop rapper.
But, Azalea is taking is all in stride, insisting her blend of pop and rap makes others uncomfortable and that her criticism is "100,000 percent because I have a vagina."
