Bill Cosby is still playing a few tour dates and his stop last night in Sandusky, Ohio included beefed up security to make sure that the protesters that showed up kept things civil. As more and more women have come forward to make allegations of sexual abuse against the comedian, the majority of his scheduled dates have been canceled with nothing new being scheduled. There have been no instances where a reporter managed to catch up with Cosby as he is leaving a venue, and according to a report by TMZ, it's because he has been using a decoy.
At the show in Sandusky a guy in a hoodie was escorted to a waiting car, sending reporters chasing after him except for 7 Action News. Their reporter realized that the real celebrity was actually right in front of their eyes, but no one else was paying attention to him, so apparently, at least until now, the decoy has worked. As Cosby has worked to salvage his crumbling career, Roseanne Barr recently weighed in on the allegations swirling around the actor that he has drugged and raped numerous women. Her sitcom, combined with The Cosby Show helped NBC to kill it in the ratings back in the '80s and unfortunately, the scandal hasn't surprised her.
"No, because like everybody else — now I'm really [going to get] in trouble — but, you know, like every woman in Hollywood, there's hardly any hairdressers or waitresses or working women who don't know somebody. We've all heard it for a long time, and it surprises nobody. Maybe it's not the end of it ... I have hopes for this great comic. I do. I have hopes that he would just make it clean, and make it, you know, make it right, and I do think he could do that," says Barr.
Saying that everyone has heard things over the years is interesting. Do you think that maybe these allegations really have been a long time in coming and that so many major players in Hollywood really have heard the rumblings about Cosby for years? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
