Noel Gallagher just wants you to know that James Blunt sucks. In a BBC Radio interview on Saturday, Gallagher went out of his way to toss shade at the "Beautiful" singer, whose Back to Bedlam album was a worldwide No. 1 in the mid 2000s.
"If I wrote songs about my own life, they would be more boring than James Blunt," Gallagher said (via NME). "If that's at all possible, which we all know, of course, it's not."
Naturally, the former Oasis frontman also touched upon his old band.
"It's an amazing thing to have been involved in a band that people took to their hearts," he said, before adding that he gets asked about the possibility of an Oasis reunion at least twice a week.
Here's his response to fans: "I never got to see The Beatles, and I'm a bigger fan of The Beatles than you are of my band."
Galllagher has shot down an Oasis reunion several times in the media, and recently said he'd only be in it for the money if the band ever reforms.
But back to the English pop beef: Gallagher's jab at Blunt was not really necessary, as the U.K. singer called his own hit "annoying" last year.
"The marketing also painted me out as an insanely serious person, an earnest person and, as all my friends know, I'm anything but," Blunt said. "I have a couple of over-emotional miserable songs that I'm known for, but I think it's turned that corner now."
The poor guy just needs someone to understand him; Gallagher's hate won't help in that area.
