Is anyone all that surprised to learn that George Clooney's new wife might be a bit high maintenance? Probably not, right? Amal Clooney is reportedly much more comfortable around her intellectual friends than she is with her husband's actor friends, but when it comes to being taken care of, she is enjoying the perks that being married to an A-lister brings. Some are saying that Amal is a nightmare to deal with, in which she seems to think she is royalty and her ungracious attitude is not going to sit well with George for long.
According to a report by Celebitchy, "If the service at hotels and restaurants isn't perfect, she complains to the staff and is a nightmare to be around in general," tattles an insider, adding that Amal flips out over things like towels not being folded just so and the pillows not being perfectly plumped. "She thinks she's royalty."
But it is not just hotel employees cringing at her behavior. "George prides himself on treating people with common decency and is a little taken aback with this side of Amal's personality ... he's having to walk behind her and apologize for her actions ... but he won't do that forever," the insider says.
The latest issue of Star magazine apparently has more details on how Mrs. Clooney's antics are already beginning to put a wedge between herself and her man.
Amal and George are also now spending quite a bit of time apart. He is taking some time to catch up with friends whom she does not necessarily like, while Amal is plugging away as a high-profile, human-rights attorney. Since much of their relationship has been a long-distance one, the two seem to have no issue with taking a breather from each other now. Perhaps George's key to staying married to anyone will be that he has to still feel like he has the freedom of a single man for at least half the time.
If Amal is really becoming so difficult, then do you think George is relieved to see her go back to work for a while? Do you think this marriage is going to last for the long haul? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
