Justin Bieber, Jack Ü (Skrillex and Diplo) Collaboration 'Record of the Year,' According to DJ Snake

Word got out in November via industry insider and Dash radio founder DJ Skee that Justin Bieber and the producer power combo of Diplo and Skrillex, aka Jack Ü, were making a record together. Well, apparently the collaboration was finished enough for others to hear, and DJ Snake has sounded off on the track, saying it is the "record of the year."

Superlatives like this are thrown around rather often and are usually just gut reactions to hearing something the first time, but DJ Snake knows a few things about hit records having been a part of tracks with Lady Gaga and Pitbull and the pop culture defining "Turn Down for What." Snake's sentiment was also echoed by Mad Decent, Diplo's label, and producer Ape Drums, who also apparently got a chance to hear the track.

Fans of Skrillex and Diplo may be upset that the pair are working with Bieber and doing a pop record, but that has been Diplo's MO for his whole career, and the addition of Sonny Moore will give the track additional nuance and grit that it might not have otherwise had.

Bieber has worked with big-time dance producers before, notably Zedd, who produced the Bieber and Nicki Minaj collaboration "Beauty and a Beat" in 2012.

There is no word on when this track will be released or what it will be a part of: Jack Ü's upcoming album or Bieber's album that should arrive later this year.
