Eighteen days after being found unresponsive in her bathtub, there is still no good news regarding Bobbi Kristina Brown. In fact, any new details that we seem to learn about her life with boyfriend Nick Gordon before her accident just seem to throw up more red flags. Brown has suffered an awful lot of loss in her 21 short years, including the death of her best friend Chelsea Bennett. The young woman died of a heroin overdose several months ago, and it is leading to some questions about Brown's own drug abuse.
According to a new report by Radar Online, "Brown's close friend, Chelsea Bennett, tragically passed away last March at the age of 20 after Cory Ben-Hanania allegedly injected her with a lethal dose of extra pure heroin. When she passed out, reports claim, she was left unconscious for 10 hours before anyone called 911. In an unprecedented court case, set to begin in two weeks, Ben-Hanania and Kevin McCaffrey -- the alleged drug dealer -- have been charged with her murder while another alleged witness, Sebastian Andrade, has been charged with concealing her death," said the source.
Bennett had been a friend of Brown's since childhood and the two ran in circles where hardcore drugs were not just prevalent but were the norm. Sources close to Brown have claimed that in recent months she was depressed and a bit of a mess, likely dabbling in drugs again. As for Gordon, he is the subject of an investigation as police try to determine whether any sort of foul play lead to Brown's current state.
The family has banned Gordon from the hospital and the home he shared with Brown. He has attempted to publicly show his love and support by getting a new tattoo of Bobbi Kristina's name on his arm. Interestingly enough, workers say that when Gordon came in for the new ink, he was in a great mood and really hopeful that Brown might wake up soon from this nightmare.
What are your thoughts on the fact that Brown was surrounded by drug users and dealers? Do you think she was just like the people whom she was closest to and doing similar things? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
