Beyoncé premieres 'Grown Woman' music video, filled with nostalgic clips and trippy VHS effects

Still not one of those expected 877,000 people who will buy Beyoncé's new self-titled album in its first week and a half? Want to watch some of the music videos from the visual component of the album anyway? Well, today, you are in luck.

Pepsi, with whom Beyoncé has a lucrative endorsement deal, has just premiered the official music video for non-album track "Grown Woman" on its website today (Dec. 19), and the clip is just full of heartwarming nostalgic footage.

To fit in with the songs themes, the video begins with a gum-smacking, sassy Beyoncé, who is, of course, surrounded by trophies she's received from over the years.

Soon, old school footage from Beyoncé's younger days is cut in, fuzzy VHS tape effect and all. She's there singing at school competitions, practicing in her living room and even twerking with her fellow Destiny's Child and childhood BFF Kelly Rowland.

Soon, Destiny's Child in full comes in (in one of its two four-person variations) as we further see the progression of Beyoncé's career and life as a "Grown Woman."

But then, that all goes to hell when the dance break comes in. Funky visual effects that are like something out of an LSD trip take hold as Bey and a few backup dancers break it down like no other.

Eventually, the camera pans out and Queen Bey is just chilling on a day bed with a couple of adorable babies, and eventually, her mother Tina Knowles.

Because Beyoncé is a grown woman. And she can do whatever she wants.

The music video for "Grown Woman" is available as one of the 18 visuals that accompanied Beyoncé's Dec. 13 album, though the song itself does not appear on Beyoncé.
