With a new Best Coast album hitting stores on May 5, 2015, we got a great taste of what's to come this week with the title track, "California Nights." Though you might be used to the formulaic songwriting of the Bethany Cosentino-fronted band (easy rhyming lyrics about California ... usually about getting high or being "crazy" and "lazy"), there's no use fixing something that isn't broken, right? In fact, this new song is a step into a more mature sound, taking on the shoegaze feel that is really hot right now. Watch the new music video fro "California Nights" right here!

RIYL: La Sera, ALVVAYS, Pity Sex

"Living Zoo" is the first new song to be released by Built to Spill in about six years. The indie rockers are releasing a new album entitled Untethered Moon on April 21, and this lead single is definitely promising for fans! Using a building tempo over guitar licks and hooks, Doug Martsch's signature vocals kick in about a minute-and-a-half into the new track, which is a great feeling for those who enjoy his voice. Listen below!

RIYL: REM, Modest Mouse

Primrose Green, the new album from singer-songwriter Ryley Walker, drops at the end of this month, but to hold us over we were treated to the new single "Sweet Satisfaction." This crooning number feels like a trip down memory lane to Motown and more. Take a listen right here!

RIYL: James Taylor, Van Morrison, Marvin Gaye

With new songs debuting each week, you can also expect some cool remixes popping up as well. This week, Nicolas Jaar remixed Florence and the Machine's "What Kind of Man," and Penguin Prison remixed Oh Land's "Head Up High." Plus, Father John Misty treated us to a great cover of Leonard Cohen's "Bird on the Wire".

Performing at the BRIT Awards last week, Kanye West debuted his newest song, "All Day," in an amazing live show. Complete with flamethrowers and a stunned Taylor Swift in the crowd, this is definitely one of the best televised performances of the year. West's 2015 tour mate, Rihanna premiered her newest song, "Towards the Sun," which is part of the soundtrack to the upcoming animated film Home, which she stars in opposite Jim Parsons. This is a more uplifting song, with RiRi hitting the top of her register for the refrain. Take a listen right here!

In case you didn't know this incredible news, The Mountain Goats are releasing a concept album about professional wresting entitled Beat the Champ on April 7. This week, the indie-folk band released a new track off of the record, "Heel Turn 2." The band premiered the song on a recent episode of the podcast "Welcome to Night Vale." Check out this new song right here!

This week saw the release of Warpaint's first song since releasing last year's amazing self-titled album. Entitled "No Way Out," this song is a dark, dreamy number that makes us remember exactly why we fell in love with these rockers. Listen to this great new song right here!

RIYL: Chelsea Wolf, Holly Miranda
