Usher & Martin Garrix Spotted Together In Studio: Collaboration In The Works?

Fans eagerly await Usher's indefinitely delayed eighth studio album UR, but in the meantime, it appears the "Good Kisser" singer is hard at work in the studio with an unlikely partner. The R&B crooner uploaded a picture to his Facebook and Instagram of him with Dutch DJ sensation, Martin Garrix with the caption, "Don't Look Down."

It is not clear what he means by "Don't Look Down." It could just be some inspirational quote for Garrix to keep on soaring to new heights in his career and that looking down will only scare you, or it could be the rough title of a new track the pair are making.

This might seem like an odd pairing between these two, but it does make sense to see them working together. Martin Garrix has a song with Ed Sheeran titled "Rewind, Repeat It" that is finished, according to Sheeran and Garrix.

Garrix has also expressed interest in working outside of the electronic music space, though this track could be a pop, dance crossover tune, much like a lot of what Usher's big hits have been. In past interviews, Garrix has stated he would like to make pop and hip-hop under his real name Martijn Gartisen. The "Virus" producer is also managed by Scooter Braun, who as you may know is Justin Bieber's manager. The link between Bieber and Usher is well documented, as Usher discovered him on YouTube and has acted as a mentor for over the years.

Usher has worked with big-name DJs in the past, notably David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia and Alesso on tracks like "Rest of My Life" and "Numb." His voice is adaptable to any sound, so something with these two should work.
