Kendrick Lamar has been shockingly quiet with details about his follow-up to his critically acclaimed album good kid, M.A.A.D. city, but with little fanfare, the "I" rapper has now announced the official title and release date for his second studio album on Twitter.
KDot dropped a link on his Twitter this afternoon (March 6), with a link to the U.S. iTunes store, which revealed that his new album will be called... [untitled]. The album is set to drop quite soon too, on March 23.
Lamar's surprising album announcement follows a flurry of news around the rapper, who released his hot new track "The Blacker the Berry" last month.
Further details surrounding Lamar's new album are scarce. The iTunes store does, however, reveal that the album will feature 16 tracks and that fans who pre-order the record will receive "The Blacker The Berry" and a digital album booklet immediately.
It's unclear whether or not the album has even received any artwork - the store thus far only contains a black square.
[untitled] will be the follow-up to good kid, M.A.A.D. city, which was released in 2013.
