Ludacris has shared the second single from his upcoming album Ludavsersal. Aptly titled "Beast Mode," Luda shows that his come back is for real and he has not lost a step lyrically with powerful punch lines, over the top metaphors and his trademark flair and bravado that oozes from a Luda track.
Ludacris continues down the road of dismissing his detractors, reminding them of his past successes and the fat checks he is still able to get even when switching up labels.
Ludacris recently spoke with Revolt about Ludaversal, which will have announced features from Usher, Big K.R.I.T and David Banner, and how he has managed to stay relevant to this point, despite heading to Hollywood for several years.
"I strategically kept my personal life out of my music for the sole reason of having longevity in the music industry," he tells Revolt. "Because when you give it all you don't have too much more to talk about or you gotta be making up stuff or you gotta go out and create drama to have something to talk about in your music."
He emphasizes that it will be an album from beginning to end, not just a compilation of singles.
"It's about taking new artists and some of the pioneers and just mixing it all together," he explains. "Because an album needs to sound cohesive from beginning to end."
Luda has not revealed a tracklist for the album as of yet, but stay tuned with the LP set for release March 31. A pre-order for the album has not been released yet, but stay tuned. He seems to be keeping everything close to the vest with this release. Listen to the track below on Luda's YouTube channel. "Beast Mode" follows up his first single, "Call Ya Bluff" released last week.
