Kendrick Lamar: drop on March 23
Kendrick Lamar: cover and title
Lamar posted the artwork to his rarely-used Instagram. The stark and captivating image depicts a group of young men and children waving piles of money in front of the White House. And what are they posing with? Well, it's what appears to be a dead judge, with his eyes crossed out and a gavel in his hands.
Alongside the artwork, Lamar posted what appears to be a batch of lyrics with one phrase in capital lettering: To Pimp a Butterfly. The emphasis has led many fans to believe that the phrase is the official album title.

Little is known about Lamar's new album beyond the release date, cover and possible title. When posting the iTunes pre-order link, it was revealed that To Pimp a Butterfly will contain 16 tracks, including his recently released track "The Blacker the Berry." Upon pre-ordering the LP, fans will receive that track and a digital booklet automatically.
His 2014 single "i" (which just so happened to be one of Music Times' favorite songs of the year) does not yet appear on the tracklist.
