Death Cab for Cutie Shares "Little Wanderer": Fourth Single From 'Kintsugi' Is a Breezy Love Ballad [LISTEN]

Death Cab for Cutie: No Room in Frame

The love ballad is a breezy take on missing someone who is on the road.

"You're my wanderer / Little wanderer / Off across the sea," Gibbard sings during the chorus. "You're my wanderer / Little wanderer / Won't you wander back to me?"

There is not too much excitement on this one, and the climax comes near the end when the singer and his love reunite in the baggage claim area of an airport. Check out the tune over at The Line of Best Fit.

Gibbard and Co. will release Kintsugi March 31. It will be the band's eighth album and first without guitarist Chris Walla, who split from Death Cab during production in September.

"I will miss being a quarter of this band and will support whatever course Death Cab for Cutie chooses from here," he said in a statement. "I am profoundly grateful to Ben, Nick and Jason for the experiences that define my adult life. Truly grateful, beyond words. Thank you."

The split was mutual, with the rest of the band supporting Walla's decision.

"We've had an incredible 17 years of making music with Chris and are proud of what we've accomplished together, including our eighth studio album, which we have just put the finishing touches on," Walla's bandmates wrote in a statement. "We will miss Chris and wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career. We're excited about sharing new music, and seeing all of you very soon."

Kintsugi will follow up Death Cab's 2011 effort Codes and Keys.
