March Madness is right around the corner, and with it comes an exciting announcement for music and basketball lovers alike. Rihanna, Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum will headline this year's NCAA March Madness Music Festival, which is set to take place April 3 to 5. Kacey Musgraves and Bleachers will also perform, and more acts will be announced in the near future, Rolling Stone noted.
The artists will perform at White River State Park in Indianapolis for the three-day event. Rihanna, whose "American Oxygen" will be used for March Madness commercials, will perform Saturday, April 4, with Bleachers. Zac Brown Band will close out the weekend alongside Lady Antebellum and Musgraves -- fans will be able to see some of Brown's set before the national championship game. Organizers will announce Friday's lineup sometime soon.
Visit the NCAA's website to watch the events live or learn more about additional performers. The first round of March Madness games kick off Thursday, March 19.
Rihanna fans are anxiously waiting the release of the singer's upcoming album. "American Oxygen" will be the effort's second single. The first, "FourFiveSeconds," dropped in January and featured Paul McCartney and Kanye West, who will also include it on his new LP.
Back in November, RiRi promised the album would be out "very soon."
"That's my hope," she added. "I'm really excited about the music that we've been working on, so I can't wait for everybody to hear it."
Zac Brown Band announced its fourth album, Jekyll + Hyde, earlier this month. The effort features guest spots by Chris Cornell and Sara Bareilles along with a song written by Jason Isbell. The new record, which features singles "Homegrown" and "Heavy Is the Head," is due out April 28 via Southern Ground/John Varvatos Records.
