When Kenya Moore first showed up on Patti Stanger's Millionaire Matchmaker, it seemed like a rather smart Bravo crossover moment. Having the RHOA star turn to Stanger for dating help was a smart move when it comes to the numbers because it introduced Bravo fans to another show to get addicted to. Even Moore admitted that she was not taking this quest for love all that seriously at first, but then her perspective changed. Moore and Stanger bonded a bit and viewers saw the walls come down. Stanger found Moore the kind of man who was good for her rather than some random guy who fit a profile that was not actually working anyway. She is still dating the match that was made for her.
Shortly after the episode aired, Moore took to her Bravo blog to discuss the experience, and she confirmed that she is still dating James.
"Patti was so kind towards me that it allowed me to attract the right man into my life. I was so overwhelmed with the outpour of positive and kind remarks that I cried reading them. Everyone deserves love, and I can't question my journey, I just have to believe. My faith has been restored and I thank Patti and Cynthia [Bailey] and most importantly God for allowing me to grow in order to receive His blessings," said Moore.
Fans of Real Housewives of Atlanta know Moore's track record in love has not been so great -- at least not in the few years she has done the series. She admitted to Stanger that she has actually turned down seven marriage proposals, mainly because of abandonment fears. She has been hoping that things with James will be different than her other relationships and that he will end up being a keeper.
Are you surprised that fellow housewife Cynthia Bailey was able to even convince Moore to look for love in such a public way, or do you think Moore likes whatever attention she can grab from reality TV in general? Do you think she will be one of the few to actually find real love through a dating show? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
