Chris Brown recently shared the good news that his probation has ended and now he's gearing up for the kick off for his Las Vegas residency. Brown will officially start his new gig during Mayweather-Pacquiao fight weekend.
As Vibe exclusively reports, the "New Flame" singer will perform as a resident artist at Drai's BeachClub & Nightclub in Las Vegas. His installment of the Drai's LIVE concert series starts on May 2, the same night of the highly anticipated fight between the welterweight boxers.
Chris Brown's next set date in his residency is July 4. Drai's LIVE will announce more dates in the coming weeks.
Last week, Brown wrapped his Between the Sheets tour with Tyga and Trey Songz. There were a few legal hiccups while the musicians were on the road. The tour was initially postponed until Brown completed his community service hours and then he was denied entry to Canada for some of the tour's stops.
While touring, Chris Brown and Tyga released their joint album Fan of a Fan, a follow-up to their 2010 mixtape with the same title.
Rolling Stone gave the album, which features 50 Cent, Ty Dolla $ign and Pusha T, a two-star rating.
"Even clowns can make great music, though, and Fan of a Fan has its share of low-end R&B bangers. A drifting sample of the words 'I need you' makes 'Ayo' the most notable of these, hinting at the sort of vulnerability the rest of the record tries so desperately to conceal," the magazine wrote.
No word on when to expect a solo effort from Brown.
