Claudia Jordan Finally Inks Contract with Bravo, Making Her an Official 'RHOA'

Claudia Jordan must be having a great week. Not only did she emerge from yesterday's taping of The Real Housewives of Atlanta's reunion in one piece, but she is also officially one of the cast members. Apparently, she went into this past season as a potential housewife and filmed with Bravo while they worked out the particulars. Jordan and Demetria McKinney both went up against former regular cast member Porsha Williams to see which lady would walk away with the new contract, and Jordan won by a landslide.

Williams was basically left fighting to keep her job and it ended up being a failed effort on her part. Jordan found herself smack in the middle of things and had no issue challenging NeNe Leakes. Jordan seems to be the first woman that is not the least bit intimidated by Leakes and that in itself made her worth keeping around. Leakes seemed to struggle with someone like Jordan coming in out of nowhere and accurately calling her out on her own messiness.

Rather than inking a quick temporary contract for RHOA last fall, Jordan preferred to wait awhile because she is actively employed as an Atlanta radio host and not desperate for the cash. She issued a statement about finally signing on with Bravo, saying, "Because I already have a great job — I could afford to be patient and waited until the contract was exactly what I wanted and it paid off. I'm very happy with my deal!"

Are you glad to hear that Jordan will be staying with the show for awhile? Her presence really was felt all season and she seemed to breathe a different kind of energy into things, don't you think? Are you one of Jordan's fans or do you hate her for challenging Leakes? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
