Eric Prydz: remix for CHVRCHES "Tether
The single, which is in the same vein of "Every Day," has all of the makings of the next big hit. "Every Day" got some radio play and is still included in other DJ sets, despite it not being very mainstream or radio friendly. Long, progressive builds are accompanies by bug synths and incredibly clean bass with an irresistibly catchy vocal that has started to creep into recent Prydz productions.
The track could be part of Eric's upcoming and long-awaited artist album that was originally slated for release in 2014, but because he is such a perfectionist, has been delayed indefinitely -- though signs are it could be released soon.
In an interview with Zane Lowe in January after Lowe made the "Tether" remix the hottest record in the world, Prydz revealed that his LP was in its "final stages," saying, "Everything is done and it should be ready in two weeks."
He might premiere some new material today during his set at Ultra Music Festival, which will take place at 7 p.m. EST. Tune in to DI.FM to listen to the full thing or watch on Twitch to see a short segment of it.
Eric Prydz recently went on the "Generate" tour, a 16-date club tour across North America, which fueled speculation that the track would be the next single to come from the Swedish producer.
Before he escapes to Europe for the festival season this summer for gigs at SW4 and others from his current home in Los Angeles, he will join Hard Events Go Hard Tour in Toronto with Dillon Francis, RL Grime, Big Gigantic and others.
