Justin Bieber Comedy Central Roast: Recap & Review Of Six Great Moments From Show

Comedy Central executives had to be salivating when Justin Bieber agreed to be the victim in their signature Roast series. Biebs has been the butt of many jokes and the source of much envy since being discovered on YouTube in the mid-2000s. His personal life hasn't fared well in recent years, making it the ideal time for a good old-fashioned ribbing.

Bieber followed two heavyweights who graced the throne at Comedy Central Roasts previously - James Franco and Charlie Sheen. While Bieber's Roast easily reached the hype level of Sheen's, it was bound to impress more than Franco's show. Biebs has the fanbase of Franco and the public problems of Sheen. He was destined to be on a Roast.

The stand-up comedians, as always, killed. The celebrity roasters, per usual, were random as hell. Martha Stewart was the oddball of the group for Bieber's Roast, but Shaquille O'Neal was a close second. Stewart actually used her slow, punctuated talking style to deliver some heat. "Justin, I'm sure it's great to have 60 million followers on Twitter, but the only place people will be following you in jail is into the shower," she said.

Here are a few hilarious moments from the broadcast:

6. Snoop Dogg Takes Down Luda

Snoop went hard at everyone on stage, but his jokes directed at fellow rapper Ludacris were on point.

Good Laugh: "'There's hoes in the room, there's hoes in the car / There's hoes on stage, there's hoes by the bar.' N*gga are you a rapper, or Dr. Seuss?"

5. Pete Davidson Kills

A Donkey Kong slight directed at Shaq. A career joke aimed at Jeff Ross (and pretty much everyone). Davidson kicked off the Roast with some top-notch zingers. The Saturday Night Live cast member had just the right amount of bite behind every punchline.

Good Laugh: "It's nice to be at a roast hosted by Shaq's d*ck."

4. Kevin Hart's Opening Monologue

Telling Shaq to wipe that stupid look off his face, Hart also took aim at Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart. A brilliant highlight reel showing off his professional highs and personal lows followed. Hart then appeared as a minister to ask the crowd, "Are you ready to Belieb?" A choir joined in for a huge song-and-dance introduction. Bieber looked a little afraid, and he had good reason to be. (Scooter Braun caught some flak as well).

Good Laugh: "We got Ludacris, we got Snoop Dogg, Shaq - this is crazy. Usually when I see this many brothers sitting together, Maury Povich is about to open an envelope."

3. Natasha Leggero Represents the Ladies

The comedienne was a force to be reckoned with when she hopped on the microphone. Leggero took the place of previous awesome ladies like Whitney Cummings, Sarah Silverman and Amy Schumer. She rattled off an extremely rough abortion joke that had Bieber sweating, but her set against Hart was gold.

Good Laugh: "Kevin is actually going to be on the next season of Game of Thrones. He's playing Peter Dinklage's shadow."

2. Jeff Ross Does His Thing

"I never roasted someone with a bedtime before," Ross started. Everyone likes to poke fun at Ross for always being involved with the Roast shows. There's a reason for that, though. Ross is vicious and unapologetic. He has a gift for weaving together jokes that take aim at everyone onstage.

Good Laugh: "Chris D'Elia is here because he's Justin Bieber's favorite comedian. Wow. What an endorsement. That's like being Shaq's favorite poet."

1. Will Ferrell shows up as Ron Burgundy

The crowd went nuts for Burgundy. Take it away, Ronnie.

Good Laugh: "A man who sings songs for 9-year-olds! And cuts his hair like a gay figure skater! This guy just continues to impress. Is there anything he can't do? In fact, I pulled my pants down and took a big, creamy sh*t in the green room because I thought to myself, 'That's how the Biebs would do it!'"
