We told you yesterday, March 30, that the family of Robin Williams was expected to have their attorneys in court yesterday to hash out the details of his estate. Sadly, his children Zak, Zelda and Cody Williams are at odds with his widow Susan Schneider over how his property is to be divided, with various allegations spilling out into the press. It was strongly suggested yesterday that both sides take the next 10 days to work things out during the legal battle. But outside a courtroom, Zelda decided to address some of the rumors involving her and her brothers by posting a rant on social media.
It has been alleged that Williams's kids stormed the home he shared with Schneider and took property from it. While she will not comment on the ongoing battle itself, Zelda did take to her Instagram last night to set the record straight about the actions of her and her brothers.
"My brothers and I have not at any point since dad's death been invited to or visited his and Susan's house in Tiburon, nor have we removed anything from it," she insisted.
"For reporters to twist Susan's court petition to imply that she believes my siblings and I did otherwise is to attempt to create drama where there is none and spread outright falsehoods, sadly a more and more common occurrence on the 'news' these days. At least in this instance, it is gossip I can disprove with actual fact," explained Zelda.
So while she addressed some of the accusations directly and completely discredited them, the fact still remains that things between both sides are messy enough to merit court filings, etc. The press may have exaggerated some of the details of this situation, but it does remain messy.
Do you think Zelda was just attempting to diffuse some of the notions to quiet the chatter while they try to come to private terms? Just how bad is the feud between Williams's kids and his wife of two years? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
