Kaskade, whose real name is Ryan Raddon, has announced a new partnership that is not some soda deal or new clothing line, but rather a worthy charitable organization. The "Atmosphere" DJ has teamed up with Operation Underground Railroad -- or OUR -- Rescue to become an official ambassador for the cause, which saves children sold into slavery as sex slaves, laborers or anything else. Kaskade announced his new ambassadorship on Twitter, also including that he would be involved with the benefit after-party. He has also announced a benefit concert.
The event will take place May 30 in Santa Clarita, California.
Kaskade will help bring awareness to an organization that does remarkable work. It aides local authorities in rescuing children from slavery in countries around the world while also getting directly involved in the rescue by sometimes running stings, doing the dirty and dangerous work necessary to rescue these kids and bringing the perpetrators to justice. Find out more about the cause here.
This is not Kaskade's first charitable act. In 2013, he donated a special Pioneer CDJ he decorated in his own unique style to the "Art Mix Tour" along with others like Dada Life, Zedd, A-Trak, Laidback Luke and Markus Schulz to be auctioned off for charity.
He has been an active participant in the "Spark Run" tour, which combines fitness charity and music into one event. The headlining DJ performed at the event, which took place at six different U.S. cities last year and helped bring a youthful and glowing audience to the run. The OUR event listed above is also a run coincidentally, so it appears Raddon has started a pattern.
