If you've been unlucky enough to live in one of five U.S. states that Jack White has never played a show in, your luck has just turned around. White will head out on a short run for his first all-acoustic tour to make stops across unvisited territories.
Concert locations will remain a secret until an announcement is made at 8 a.m. on the day of each show on his personal website and social media accounts. Once the blasts are made public, tickets will go on sale for a bargain of $3 a ticket, reports Rolling Stone. Limited to one person per ticket, purchases must be made in cash at the concert venue starting at noon that day. After the 5-state tour, White will take an extended amount of personal time.
Embarking on the tour as backup will be fiddle players Fats Kaplin and Lillie Mae Rische, as well as bass player Dominic Davis--all of which have been involved in the musical projects The Buzzards and The Peacocks with White. Together, they'll perform as an acoustic quartet, notes Pitchfork. Only ribbon microphones will sit on stage alongside the four, making the upcoming shows Whites first entirely acoustic tour.
Jack will take continue his run at Coachella and take the stage this Saturday. He'll continue with a performance in Honolulu on Wednesday, crossing Hawaii off of the acoustic show tour list. So far, the singer has performed songs spanning his entire career, including solo work and popular songs from both the White Stripes and The Raconteurs.
The White Stripes singer has kept busy with a jam-packed schedule of touring, preparing for Record Store Day, partaking in ownership of the new streaming service Tidal and co-executive producing a documentary titled American Epic.
