'Dope': Trailer For ASAP Rocky’s Feature Film Debut Surfaces With Kendrick Lamar's "i" On Soundtrack [WATCH]

The new A$AP Rocky-featuring film Dope just got a new trailer. A 30-second preview dropped for the movie back when it premiered at Sundance Film Festival, but the new one is more in-depth. Clocking in at two and a half minutes, it features Kendrick Lamar's self-love championing single "i" on the soundtrack.

IMBD describes the Forest Whitaker-narrated film as: "A coming of age comedy/drama for the post hip-hop generation. Malcolm is a geek, carefully surviving life in The Bottoms, a tough neighborhood in Inglewood, CA filled gangsters and drugs dealers, while juggling his senior year of college applications, interviews and the SAT. His dream is to attend Harvard. A chance invitation to a big underground party leads Malcolm and his friends into a, only in Los Angeles, gritty adventure filed with offbeat characters and bad choices. If Malcolm can persevere, he'll go from being a geek, to being dope, to ultimately being himself."

After premiering at Sundance, the film secured a distribution deal for $7 million. In addition to Rocky (Dom), the film also stars Zoë Kravitz (Nakia), Shameik Moore (Malcom), Tyga (De'Andre), Chanel Iman (Lily), Blake Anderson (Will), Kiersey Clemons (Diggy), Keith Stanfield (Bug) and more.

Dope is due out in theaters June 19.

Meanwhile, Rocky is prepping the release of his highly anticipated new album At. Long. Last. A$AP or A.L.L.A. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the effort is slated for a May 12 release. Rocky dropped his latest single "M's" last week, which is expected to appear on the album. New material has slowly been surfacing from the Harlem rapper over the past few months. He unveiled the music video for his single "Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2" earlier in the year and dropped "Multiply" late last year.

The album was recorded at both Red Bull Studios in London and at Sound Factory in Los Angeles. The full LP will feature the likes of Lykke Li, FKA Twigs, Pimp C, Juicy J, Clams Casino and potentially others according to an interview with Billboard. A$AP Yams, who died of an accidental drug overdose, will be listed as an executive producer on the album alongside Danger Mouse and Juicy J.
