A$AP Rocky just premiered a new single "M's," presumed to be one on his upcoming album At.Long.Last.A$AP today, April 8, on the London leg of the Red Bull Music Academy after he gave a talk. The Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E.- and Mike Dean-produced single has the making of another hit from Rocky, with its haunting synths and horns, sitting on top of a crisp bass line with snare rolls. Rocky employs his deep voice distortion effectively as echoes, while he raps about the pursuit of getting M's, or millions. As one might expect, the track made its way onto the Web and you can hear the rip below.
'Member, I ain't ever have no home
Now I got a penthouse and a beach home
Back when I was rockin' least (2 Chainz!)
I was trappin' off at least like three phones
Millionaire, made the plan
Then I paid myself and I gave myself an advance
Way before I became myself
I'd like to thank myself because I made myself the man
Say lately I ain't myself
I'd rather hang myself before I play myself
We don't know if this is the final version yet, but the track sounds pretty complete. It is not clear if this is the next single, but Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E. spoke to Complex and, judging from his reaction, it appears the track might be the next to be released.
"I'm excited and grateful for Rocky to be f**king with a n***a. We cool. I'm always sending him beats. I don't know when it is gonna come out to tell you the truth. Maybe in a week? They got they campaign. They run it," he said.
New material has slowly been surfacing from Harlem over the past few months. He unveiled the music video for his single "Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2" earlier in the year and dropped "Multiply" late last year. A briefly posted Amazon page may have given away a May 26 album release date, but no official word has been given as to when the LP will be dropped.
