Last week, Young Thug released his new album Barter 6 after changing the name from Carter 6 because of legal issues with Lil Wayne and his Carter series as he awaits the release of Tha Carter V. Before the album drop, Wayne voiced his disapproval of Thugger's album title, but now footage has surfaced where he elaborates further on the issue.
During an a show in Columbus, Ohio, Tunechi took the time between songs to speak to the crowd about Thug's new album.
"If there were any other albums that dropped recently, tell 'em I said, 'suck my d*ck," he said, alluding to Thug's Barter 6. "Carter V coming soon; ain't no mother**kin' such thing as Carter 6," Wayne declares, as the sound of a single gunshot rattles through the speaker. "And anytime ya'll book them b*tch ass n***as to come up in this mother**ka, before they say one word, tell them, 'Tunechi said, "Suck my d*ck.'"
Wayne then continued on with the show. Check it out here:
After Wayne's first diss, Thug responded in a post on Instagram, saying, "I understand that Lil Wayne is frustrated with his career, and I feel him on that. But this is my idol. I will never swap words with him or beef with him about nothing. Ha ha."
What do you guys think? Should Wayne lay off Thugger considering he only wanted to use the title to pay homage? Should he be more respectful to those he has influenced? Sound off in the comments section below!
