Bad news if you're all about Waka Flocka Flame's presidential run and platform that involves smoking a blunt a day, no dogs in restaurants, public shaming for those with big feet and, surprisingly, education: the "Bust" rapper isn't even eligible to run for the nation's highest office.
Yes, unfortunately, the U.S. Constitution states that a person must be a national born citizen and be 35 years of age before running to be Commander-in-Chief. Flocka (né Juaquin James Malphurs) was born in Queens, New York, so he checks off the citizenship status. However, he was born on May 31, 1986, meaning he misses the minimum age requirement for president by seven years.
So, maybe we just need to change #Waka2016 to #Waka2024.
Flocka first announced his intentions to run for president on, you guessed it, April 20. In a video for Rolling Stone, the always eccentric rapper ran by his policy platform all while smoking a big ol' blunt.
"A blunt a day will take the pain away," Flocka said before running through his platform. "The first thing I will stop as president is dog walking into restaurants." He also didn't want people with shoe size 13 or above walking across the streets, forcing them to take cabs, buses and trains. He also wanted every American citizen to learn the lyrics to all his songs before graduating the 12th grade or else they have to go all the way back to grade three.
Flocka also had some good ideas, including raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, citing In-N-Out Burger as a great example.
