Rosie O'Donnell's Ex Wants Her Drug Tested for Custody Battle

It looks like the custody battle between Rosie O'Donnell and Michelle Rounds is about to get even messier. First O'Donnell had claimed that her ex is just after money and that paved the way for Rounds to give an interview accusing O'Donnell of drinking and getting high daily. That kind of behavior doesn't exactly lead to gold-medal parenting and Rounds is now fighting for sole custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Dakota. Now there's a new bombshell -- Rounds wants her ex to be randomly drug tested while custody is being worked out.

According to a report by TMZ, "We've learned Michelle Rounds and Rosie will face off in court on Tuesday and the custody of 2-year-old Dakota is at stake. Michelle is gunning for full custody on grounds Rosie is not a present parent because of excessive use of booze and weed. Rosie says it's all a lie and a money grab. We're told currently they have 50/50 custody. Our sources say if the judge keeps the status quo while the case runs its course, Michelle's lawyer will ask for an order requiring Rosie to submit to random drug and alcohol testing, and if the tests reveal a problem she can then ask for an emergency order." explains a source.

Of course, O'Donnell's reaction to such a request isn't going to be calm or kind but do you think that she really does have some of the vices that Rounds is claiming? It seems that O'Donnell's life is always messy. Nothing ends with civility and both her professional and personal lives are equally chaotic. Do you think that Rounds might actually be justified in her concerns for the well-being of their daughter? Either way, it seems fairly unlikely that the 50/50 custody situation will change after this weeks' court date. This kind of battle can easily play out for a long time.

How do you think that this will ultimately end up? Will O'Donnell's power and money get her whatever she wants or do you think that Rounds will score some little victories here? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
