Fleetwood Mac to begin recording new album with Christine McVie in March

As previously reported, Christine McVie has rejoined Fleetwood Mac. Now that she's back, Mick Fleetwood has revealed to Maui News (via Fleetwood Mac News) the band's plans to begin recording a new studio album in March. The effort will include songs written by McVie and will be the group's first full-length since 2003's Say You Will, following up last year's EP entitled Extended Play.

McVie joined the band in 1970 after marrying bassist, John McVie. She stayed wth the band for 28 years as the lead songwriter, playing keyboard and contributing vocals. She wrote some of the band's biggest hits including "Say You Love Me," "Don't Stop," "You Make Loving Fun," "Little Lies" and "Everywhere."

As NME points out, rumors began surfacing last year that McVie had been thinking about getting back with the band after she appeared with them on stage when they performed "Don't Stop" at London's O2.

The group also plans to hit the road again this fall. This will be their first time back on tour since canceling the last stretch of dates after John McVie was diagnosed with cancer.
