Miley Cyrus, Laura Jane Grace, Joan Jett Perform 'Androgynous' For Happy Hippie Charity's Backyard Sessions

Earlier this week, Miley Cyrus launched her Happy Hippie Foundation's Backyard Sessions. The charity seeks to help issues affecting homeless youth, LGBT youth and other vulnerable populations. The sessions feature Cyrus teaming with another artist for a special performance straight from the Bangerz singer's backyard. So far she's performed "Different" with Joan Jett and a solo cover of Dido's "No Freedom" in honor of late transgender teen Leelah Alcorn. Now she's again enlisted Jett along with Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace for a cover of The Replacements' "Androgynous."

In addition to her performances, Cyrus also dyed her armpit hair neon pink to promote staying true to oneself.

"It's back to what I'm preaching in a way, you know, telling these kids," she told the Associated Press. "I'm not just saying you be yourself and I'm going to go be Miley Cyrus. I'm saying I'm going to be my f*cking self, too."

Cyrus is hoping she can use her platform to ignite change for acceptance of all human beings.

"Pointless judgment and its effects are unfortunately something that is way too common. All humans have valid feelings and rights! I want to use my voice as a megaphone to young people everywhere and encourage human evolution," Cyrus said in a statement. "No one should have to hide who they really are, no matter what his or her name, gender or status. That's why Happy Hippies are here to say that every life is valuable!"

Other artists who will appear in the sessions include Ariana Grande and folk singer Melanie Safka.

Each video will debut exclusively on Facebook with a button that allows you to donate if you wish.
