Madonna to introduce Pussy Riot onstage at Amnesty International's Bringing Human Rights Home concert

As previously reported, recently freed Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova will be joining the Flaming Lips, Lauryn Hill, Cake, Imagine Dragons, Cold War Kids and more at Amnesty International's Bringing Human Rights Home concert February 5 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Now it's been announced that Madonna will be introducing the two women at the show. According to Billboard, the singer broke the news on social media and said in a statement that she admires Alyokhina and Tolokonnikova.

Amnesty International said Pussy Riot will "participate" in the event, so it is unclear whether they will be performing or whether they will just be present.

Of the show the two women said: "We are happy to support Amnesty International's work on behalf of human rights and political prisoners...We will never forget what it's like to be in prison after a political conviction. We have vowed to continue helping those who remain behind bars and we hope to see you all at the Amnesty International concert."

Tickets for the event are on sale now through Ticketmaster starting at $35. Will you be attending? Let us know in the comments section below!
