If you're a fan of Bravo's Vanderpump Rules then you already know that series star Stassi Schroeder seems to be a lightening rod for drama. The last reunion was especially brutal for her as the entire cast turned on her, blaming her for a whole bunch of things. Schroeder has claimed that the editing has left her looking like the official mean girl of the show but you kind of have to wonder just how much of her nastiness has been edited in by the network because even in interviews she comes across as pretty catty. There have been rumors that Schroeder is finished not only with Vanderpump Rules, but reality television as a whole and she is now confirming it herself.
In a new interview with Millennium magazine Schroeder explains her disconnect with her former friends saying, "I don't hang out with these people. I don't talk to them, and I'm not around it, I haven't seen most of them in the seven months since filming stopped. It was so crazy to be back in that environment, and I was just looking at everyone just hating and fighting, and I thought there is just so much more than this minuscule situation. It's really hard to be in a show where you are being played to be one step hated of everybody else and rip each other to shreds. We're not paid to sit around and get along. They want to see dirt. It was really hard. But we did it to ourselves, we put ourselves in that situation, so I can't complain about it."
Are you surprised that Schroeder doesn't want to return for another go round with her former friends? Did you think that the last reunion was the last time she was going to sit in the same room on camera with this group? It's interesting how in just a few short years she went from being everyone's best friend to the girl that they all love to hate, isn't it?
Will you continue to watch this show without Schroeder? Or do you think that Vanderpump Rules just won't work without Schroeder at the center of all of the chaos? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
