The mysterious ZHU took to the airwaves last night for his first ever radio mix. The "Faded" DJ did a special after hours mix for Pete Tong on BBC Radio One, which features some brand new unreleased material. The notoriously reclusive DJ has only released a handful of tracks, which include the Grammy-nominated single, "Faded," and his Nightday EP, as well as a few other bootlegs and remixes that were done for the likes of Outkast and Lana Del Ray. Fans now have a chance to hear some new music from Stephen Zhu, including two unreleased originals.
The 40-minute mix is bookended by two brand new ZHU originals, with nearly all unreleased edits and VIP edits in between. He mixes in edits of previously released Nightday EP singles like "Faded" and "Superfriends," adding some Snoop Dogg lyrics to the tune.
ZHU adds his remix of Michael Jackson's "Thriller," which was first premiered during his first ever festival set last fall at Hard Day of the Dead in Los Angeles.
The two unreleased originals could appear on the California-based producer's upcoming album, which is expected at some point this year on Columbia Records.
